Welcome to VMPF

The Victorian Medical Postgraduate Foundation (VMPF) is recognised as a quality health education provider and has delivered a wide range of educational activities to health professionals since 1920.

Our diverse educational activities assist Australian health professionals in keeping abreast of new health information.

International Medical Graduates (IMGs) continue to benefit from our long history of highly successful bridging courses in preparation for the Australian Medical Council (AMC) exams. Our bridging courses are scheduled on a continual basis throughout each year.

MCQ bridging courses are offered every 6 weeks. They are full-time and include two computer based trial exams. Face-to-face tutorials are conducted every day of the week delivering approximately 300 hours of tutorials during the 6 week course.

Clinical bridging courses are offered every 12 weeks. They are full-time courses conducted every day of the week delivering approximately 600 contact hours during the course. These courses are held in hospitals, specialist clinics, GP clinics and also include a Clinical Trial Exam which covers 20 OSCE stations.

The vast majority of candidates who complete a VMPF bridging course go on to pass the AMC exams.
